BIOgraphy
Mina is a designer and maker specialising in Moroccan crafts.
Born in the Netherlands to Moroccan parents, Mina grew up in two worlds, something which has defined her approach to her work and is a constant source of inspiration.
During her final year of study at the Wood and Furniture College in Amsterdam, she spent time working in Morocco and discovered a world of crafts, colours and traditions.
Once back in Amsterdam, Mina founded her design studio in 2013. Currently Mina is based in Amsterdam as well as Morocco where she teamed up with a female weaving cooperative that manufactures the most stunning handmade carpets while making sure proper work conditions are maintained and the female weavers receive fair wages.
Due to her unique Dutch-Moroccan expertise Mina is regularly asked to host or curate a variety of international exhibitions.
Mina’s approach to interior and product design is a marriage between cultures, raw materials, dynamic colours, and the modern with the traditional—a unique flavour that defines all things Mina loves and makes.
Mission
