Rug her world
8th of March 2024: International Women’s Day @Soho House Amsterdam
A 5 year celebration
Precisely 5 years ago, I founded One Square Meter Berber (OSMB), a creative love story where design meets craft and tradition. This collaborative design-venture between four cooperatives of female-led Amazigh weavers and four renowned Dutch designers created much needed awareness for the suffocating situation of women in the weaving industry in Morocco.
My mission, deeply personal and purpose-driven, is to uplift the voices of female weavers while paying homage to the skilled hands that breathe life into each creation. Looking back to the success of OSMB fills me with a feeling of pride, but at the same time there is still so much to do.
OSMB revival: Rug Her World
This is why I want to use this day to revive the OSMB values that are close to my heart and of everlasting importance:
“Women supporting women, cross-cultural collaboration & staying connected through craft “
The event Rug Her World aims to inspire a new generation of entrepreneurial women. On this day of celebration we curated a special program in the hope that learnings from One Square Meter Berber causes a ripple effect and ignites fresh ideas that change our systems for the better.

Rug Her World: How Does She Do It?
Panel talk in collaboration with Harper's Bazaar Business Club.
During the panel talk we will dive into the stories of Mina and other entrepreneurial power women, the difficulties they overcame and lessons they learned. The key message here is: dare to ask. Women are here supporting other women. Everyone started somewhere. Let’s find out how she did it, and learn how women can reach out to other women in making more (positive) impact. That’s why we’re asking: how did she do it?
