Our rugs are handmade by women-run cooperatives of weavers and artisans in Morocco that we have been working with for many years.
The women artisans in Morocco face many challenges in selling their handmade rugs. Many weavers live and work in rural areas with limited access to markets, leaving them vulnerable to exploitation by middlemen who buy their rugs at low prices and sell them for much more in urban markets and to international resellers.
Recently women-run cooperatives have formed in an attempt to increase income for the artisans who make the rugs, but issues such as illiteracy and limited technological resources make it difficult for them to reach new customers and to communicate with their customers directly. Despite these challenges, the weavers see rug-making as an important cultural tradition and hope to preserve it for future generations. We work directly with women-run cooperatives and meet each woman face to face, ensuring there is no middleman and that the women are paid fair wages. Fair business practice ensures these women are able to provide for their families and invest for the generations to come.
Our contemporary rugs combine modern design while preserving an ancient craft and national heritage. All of our contemporary rugs are hand-knotted from locally sourced wool.

How To Order
1. Choose your design
Select your rug design from our customisable collection or make an appointment to create your own design with us.
2. Select your size
Decide the perfect size to fit your interior, and we will create your rug to your specifications.
3. Production
Your rug will be handmade in Morocco. We will keep you updated during the weaving process.
4. Delivery or pick up
Your custom made rug can be delivered directly to your home, or you can pick it up at our studio in Amsterdam.
