Moroccan rugs are rooted in the traditional and rural environment of the Amazigh women. There is a great variety of Moroccan rugs depending on the tribes that weave them. Each rug is unique and an authentic piece of folk art. 

This inspired Mina Abouzahra to create The OSMB rugs in close collaboration with rural Amazigh (Berber) weaving cooperatives. Working hand-in-hand with the weavers, we celebrate cultural heritage while acknowledging the incredible talent of the female artisans and providing them with fair compensation. It is Mina’s mission to revalue the rich ancestral legacy of the Moroccan weaving craft – one rug at a time.

The OSMB rugs are handcrafted from locally sourced wool and can be made in any size. Each piece is a unique blend of traditional techniques and the Dutch designer’s signature style.

• Primary Color: Off-white

• Secondary Color: Natural dark brown, blue and okre

• Weave: 100% hand knotted in Morocco

• Due to the handcrafted nature of the product, size and colour may vary.
